The Social Development Commission (SDC) in Jamaica gave Capleton the Entertainment Award of Excellence for outstanding contribution in community development 2016. Capleton won “Marcus Garvey Humanitarian Award” at the 32nd Annual International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA) May 4th in Florida for his outstanding contributions to charity using funds raised at his annual Benefit concert, A St Mary Mi Come From. Capleton won the “SPIRITUAL SERVICE THRU MUSIC AWARD” @ 29th Int’l Reggae & World Music Awards Sunday May 2, 2009 @ YORK COLLEGE – Queens, New York.
